UC Irvine School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences Staff Move Into Higher Positions

Congratulations to the UC Irvine School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences staff members who have recently moved into higher positions within our school!

Hetty Ha, who was serving as a Student Services Advisor, has moved into the role of Student Affairs Manager.

‌“Hetty now oversees the PharmD Student Affairs Office in Berk Hall,” explained Jill Richardson, Director of Student Affairs. “This includes direct supervision of three PharmD Student Affairs Office staff members in admissions/recruitment, general student pharmacist advising, and financial/career advising. She will work closely with the Associate Dean for Pharmacy Student Affairs to oversee the school’s vision for recruiting and teaching successful student pharmacists.”

Ennis Augustus, a former PharmD Education & Assessment Coordinator, is now a Pharmacy Education Manager.

“I am excited to take on this new role,” he said. “What I am most excited about is working with my amazing team: Joanna, Mary, and Jennifer. The work we have done so far is amazing. Everyone on the team has benefited from the support we have received from our leaders, Dr. Sarah McBane and Dr. Erin Knox.”

Dr. McBane, Founding Associate Dean for Pharmacy Education, shared, “In his new position, Ennis is taking more of a leadership role in managing the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences curriculum and co-curriculum. He’s stepped in as the staff point of contact for all things in didactic pharmacy education.”

Brennen Vallance now has the title of Department Coordinator for the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice, moving up from his position as a PharmD Student Affairs Officer.

“Brennen is a great asset to the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice,” stated Daisy Villa, Department Administrator. “His role as Department Coordinator includes many responsibilities. He oversees volunteer clinical professor appointments, quarterly newsletters, department events, Berk Hall conference room reservations, and much more.”

Vallance shared: “It is great to have the opportunity to help the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice. In the past six months I feel like I have learned so much about myself, UCI, and the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. It’s great to be a part of our growing school, and I’m excited for what the future brings.”

Everyone on the UCI School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences team is so proud of the accomplishments of our staff. Congratulations again to Hetty, Ennis, and Brennen!
