Researchers report that 80% of U.S. adults with type 2 diabetes aren’t getting treatments that they are eligible for.

The treatments involve two types of medications, including the drug Ozempic. Joyce Lee, PharmD, comments on cost being a major issue, although the barrier will hopefully lessen with more alternative and generic drugs coming on the market.
