SPPS Anti-Cancer Challenge Team Surpasses Goal

Dr. Claudia Benavente and Dr. Alex Chan spearheaded the first ever, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Anti-Cancer Challenge Team calling on faculty, staff and students to join the team in the fight against cancer. With a goal in sight and a Challenge Day on the horizon, UCI SPPS surpassed the originally set goal of $1,500.

Dr. Joyce Lee, a Health Sciences Clinical Professor within the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice, got creative and designed a an Anti-Cancer-saurus pin to send to those who donated a minimum of $15 or more.

100% of the Anti-Cancer Challenge proceeds go directly to lifesaving cancer research at the UCI Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. These funds having time and time again supported our very own faculty in their ability to continue to advance their anti-cancer research.

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences thanks all who participated and joined our team for the very first time. We look forward to your continued support.
