Pharmaceutical Sciences Welcomes Sarah McBane

Sarah McBane, PharmD, CDE, BCPS, FCCP, FCPhA, APh

UCI Pharmaceutical Sciences is proud to welcome Sarah McBane, PharmD, CDE, BCPS, FCCP, FCPhA, APh as the Associate Director and Founding Associate Dean for Pharmacy Education within the newly developed Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice. 

Dr. McBane joins us from West Coast University in Los Angeles, CA where she served as a Professor and Chair of their Department of Pharmacy Practice.

Dr. McBane comes to us with years of valuable experience as well as being a board-certified Diabetes Educator through the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators. She is also board-certified in Pharmacotherapy through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties.

Dr. McBane brings with her a wealth of knowledge regarding topics on ambulatory care family medicine including women’s health and tobacco abuse. Dr. McBane is extensively involved in professional pharmacy organizations and has developed legislation to recognize pharmacists as providers and expand the scope of practice for pharmacists in the state of California. Dr. McBane will join UCI Pharmaceutical Sciences on campus in October.
