Joyce Lee Joins the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice

Joyce Lee, PharmD, FCCP, BCPS, BCACP joins the newly developed Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice.

UCI Pharmaceutical Sciences is delighted to welcome Joyce Lee, PharmD, FCCP, BCPS, BCACP as a Health Sciences Clinical Professor in the newly developed Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice.

Dr Joyce Lee joins us from the National University of Singapore where she serviced as an Associate Professor and Domain Leader for the Division of Pharmacy Practice. She worked abroad in Asia after receiving her PharmD from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and completing her Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Southern California.

During her pharmacy career in Singapore, Dr. Lee was actively involved in developing, implementing and expanding pharmacist-led clinical services with a focus on noncommunicable diseases in the hospital, outpatient ambulatory care clinics, and community pharmacies. She also developed and validated several clinical algorithms such as SIGN and FAST to improve patient care. Her work was supported by numerous grants from the governmental agencies, industry and private organizations.

Dr. Lee was the recipient of American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP)’s New Clinical Practitioner Award in 2013, and UCSF’s 150th Anniversary Alumni Excellence Award in 2015. As a dedicated clinical educator, Dr. Lee has also received many teaching awards from multiple healthcare organizations and teaching institution.

Dr. Lee will join UCI Pharmaceutical Sciences on Campus in mid-March2020.
