Say hello to our August spotlight and Chapter Treasurer, Francesco Nguyen, who graduated from UCI in 2016 with a BS in Biology. Originally from Huntington Beach, “Francis” attended Pharmacy School at UCSF and returned to SoCal for his rotations currently at CVS Pharmacy and previously for Ambulatory Care at Prospect Medical Group. What drives Francesco is the ability to make a difference with medications and have an impact in a patient’s care. His interests are not only in pharmacological therapy, but also lifestyle therapies that one can adopt to allow their body to heal. He is reminded of why he chose the pharmacy profession every time he hears from a patient “Thank you for taking care of my health.” His favorite UCI memory is winning the “Best Acapella Group” award and he is still very involved in the UCI Tennis Club and Anteaters in Pharmacy Chapter. Francesco’s words of wisdom are to “work hard, strive to learn, and be a pleasant person.” We are proud of you, Francesco, and thank you for your dedication to our Chapter!
